About Zictionary

What it is

An interactive dictionary of AI terms. 70 words, each explained in plain English at three levels of detail, and 13 with a small Playground you can poke instead of just reading about. It is a side project made at sabbiramin.dev.

How far to trust it

Not all of the content has been reviewed by experts yet, but that review is in progress. Every entry shows the month it was last checked. Scripts check each entry's format, and the Playgrounds have tests for their logic and their scripted scenarios.

The Playgrounds are teaching toys. Their numbers, scenarios and odds are made up to show an idea, and each one says so. None of them calls a real model.

Found a mistake, or a claim you would dispute? Please tell me through sabbiramin.dev. Corrections are the most useful feedback this project can get. A way to suggest edits straight from each page (through GitHub issues) is coming soon.

Your data

There are no accounts and no cookies. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and where visitors come from in aggregate, without cookies and without following you around the web. Your browser also remembers three small choices on your own device only: light or dark theme, the detail level (Beginner, Builder or Deep), and whether you last used the List or the Map. Anything you type into a Playground stays in the page and is not sent anywhere.

Built with

Astro, React, Framer Motion and Tailwind. Text in Inter and IBM Plex Mono. Token counts in the Token Playground come from js-tiktoken. Icons are your system's emoji.

Made at sabbiramin.dev

Zictionary is one of the things I build and write about at sabbiramin.dev. The build story, what went wrong, and what is coming next are there.
